The use of ultrasound in the cleaning bath can achieve the desired cleaning results for heavy contamination such as swarf or even light corrosion. Ultrasonic transducers transmit a frequency in the kHz range. This creates small bubbles on the surface of the components, which immediately collapse again. These small pressure surges provide the necessary energy to remove the build-up from the parts.
